Privacy policy
Last updated October 16, 2026
Forksight is made by Good Enough Labs ("we"). It has no account. What you do in the app stays on your iPhone, except the menu photos you scan (below). We don't sell or share personal data, and the app has no ads, analytics or tracking.
Location
When you allow it, your iPhone asks Apple Maps for restaurants near you. Your location goes to Apple for that search, under Apple's privacy policy, and Forksight doesn't keep it.
Menu photos
A menu you photograph or pick from Photos goes over an encrypted connection to our server, which sends it to OpenAI to read the dishes and returns them to your iPhone. We don't keep the photo or the dishes, and nothing in the request identifies you. OpenAI keeps API requests for up to 30 days to detect abuse and doesn't use them to train its models (OpenAI's privacy policy). Without a connection, the menu is read on your iPhone. You choose each photo; the app can't see the rest of your library.
Your goal, orders and week
Your goal, what you avoid and the orders you log are stored on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.
Apple Health
If you connect Apple Health, Forksight adds the nutrition of each order you log. It doesn't read anything from Apple Health. You can turn this off in the Health app, under Sharing.
Purchases
Forksight Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. The app only learns from Apple whether Pro is on; we never see your payment details.
Crash reports
If you share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple sends us anonymous crash reports. You can turn this off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
If you report a wrong number or write to us, we get your email address and message, use them only to answer you, and delete them when we're done.
Children
Forksight isn't directed to children under 13.
